defining potential commitments in improvement of planning process considering climate change
The partners develop an integrated and joint strategy for improvement of existing water management practices, taking into consideration knowledge gained from previously funded projects.
Strategy will be released for promoting and stimulating adoption of CC-ARP-CE Toolbox for efficient use for decision making in water management planning. The final goal will be maximizing the use of the Toolbox to effectively and robustly mainstream climate change adaptation in sectoral plans (e.g. Flood-, River Basin-, Drought Management Plans and regional/local spatial plans) by improving design and implementation of infrastructures and supporting day-by-day activities of water agencies and other local actors. This approach should enhance coherence between policies and practices currently used for disaster risk reduction/prevention, climate change adaptation and drinking water protection.
